San Ysidro Health Center (SYHC) provides low-cost, primary health care services to South Bay residents. In addition to the main health center in San Ysidro, SYHC maintains satellite clinics in Chula Vista and National City that are accessible by bus or trolley. SYHC offers an family-oriented primary health care services, including pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, adult medicine, dental care, mental health services, podiatry, radiology, laboratory and pharmacy.

The San Ysidro - Otay chapter of the Rotary International service organization meets each Monday at 12:15pm at the IHOP San Ysidro. In addition to participating in Rotary's international service mission, the San Ysidro - Otay club sponsors food distribution in Tijuana and helps schools on both sides of the border.

San Ysidro Community Planning Group (SYCPG)
Established in 1967, under the name San Ysidro Planning and Development Group. One of the oldest continuously operating of the 43 land use planning groups in San Diego, California. Meetings are open to the public and held on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm at the Governing Board Meeting Room, San Ysidro School District Education Center, 4350 Otay Mesa Road (north of Beyer Blvd) in San Ysidro.
